Activities
As part of our mission to serve and help the people, the following programs and activities have been undertaken:
Travelling Exhibit: "Philippines 2000 and Beyond: A Legacy of President Fidel V. Ramos"
A traveling exhibit entitled "Philippines 2000 and Beyond: A Legacy of President Fidel V. Ramos" was developed by RPDEV to accommodate the numerous requests from various sectors interested to learn more about Philippine history and the Ramos Administration. The exhibit was designed to complement the permanent exhibits at the Ramos Library and Museum located at No. 120 Maria Cristina Street, Ayala Alabang Village, Muntinlupa City.
Publication and Launch of Volumes 9 and 10 of FVR Speeches
Volume 9 of the collection of speeches of former President Fidel V. Ramos was launched on September 21, 2001 at the Anna and Washington Sycip Lobby of the National Museum. The book, entitled "The Continuing Revolution: Meeting the Challenges of Democracy and Poverty Reduction," marks the compilation of post presidency speeches of FVR from July 1998 to June 2001.
RPDEV sponsored the Manila presentation of the report of the International Commission on Intervention and State Sovereignty (ICISS) entitled "The Responsibility to Protect." This was held on January 11, 2002 at the Kalayaan Room of the Export and Industry Bank Plaza in the City of Makati.
"FVR Through the Years, Part II" Launched
RPDEV and the National Library of the Philippines hosted the launch of the book "FVR Through the Years, Part II" by veteran journalist Ben Cal at the National Library Building. The book narrates the highlights of the term of former Philippine President Fidel V. Ramos and shows his unique style of leadership and governance. The author, who covered FVR for more than 20 years, based the book on his news dispatches from 1992 to 1998.
